W-ImageTrace

Image provenance & tracing.

Overview

W-ImageTrace

W-ImageTrace helps investigators, content teams, and brand protection analysts establish where an image came from, where it has appeared, and whether modified versions are circulating across the web. Submit any image — screenshot, upload, or URL — and get a ranked list of matching sources, visual similarity clusters, and extracted EXIF/XMP metadata in seconds. It is the fastest way to answer "is this image genuine, and where did it originate?"

Reverse image search & origin tracing

Reverse image search & origin tracing

W-ImageTrace queries multiple reverse-image indexes simultaneously and deduplicate results into a ranked source list showing the earliest known appearance of the image. For each match you get the source URL, publication date, and a perceptual similarity score — enough to establish a reliable provenance chain without manual searching across individual search engines.

RIS
Similarity matching

Similarity matching

Perceptual hashing and embedding-based similarity find visually related images even after cropping, recoloring, adding watermarks, or overlaying text — the common manipulations used to evade exact-match detection. Results are grouped into similarity clusters so you can immediately see the full family of derivative versions alongside the likely original.

Metadata inspection

Metadata inspection

Every submitted image is parsed for EXIF, XMP, IPTC, and ICC metadata — including GPS coordinates, camera model, creation timestamps, software editing history, and embedded copyright notices. Metadata is displayed in a structured, searchable table and can be exported as JSON for integration with your own evidence management system.
